Graduation-It’s That Time Again
Students are responsible for fulfilling current program requirements as set forth in the academic
catalog at the time of matriculation for that degree. An Application for Graduation is available
online. The application will include a fee schedule, pertinent information, and an institutional
graduation survey. The survey must be completed prior to graduation. In addition, students who
have utilized Federal Financial Aid must complete an exit interview. Please contact the Financial
Aid Office (ext. 31) to initiate the interview. Upon receipt of the application, the Registrar will
complete a degree audit and notify the student as to his or her eligibility for graduation.
Graduation Requirements
1. Academic Achievement and Christian Character
All program requirements, the minimum program GPA, and the minimum number
of hours at the institution must be met: undergraduate (45 hours), graduate
(36 hours), post-graduate (40 hours). Christian character should be evident.
2. Tuition and Fees Paid in Full
All outstanding tuition and fees must be paid in full at least 45 days prior to the
graduation date.
3. Library Books Returned
All library books must be returned at least 30 days prior to the graduation date
unless special arrangements have been made with the librarian.
4. Application for Graduation/Fee/Survey/Exit Interviews
The application and fee must be submitted by posted deadlines. A $200.00
fee is required of all graduates even if they do not attend the commencement
ceremony. The fee for subsequent degrees is $100.00 each. The graduation
survey and financial aid exit interview must be completed before graduation.
Application For Graduation
It is imperative that students officially declare their intentions to graduate by filling out the Application For Graduation and submitting the graduation fee on or before the deadline. Even if you don’t plan to participate in commencement, we must have the application on file to list you as “graduated” on your academic record.
Graduation with Honors (undergraduate only)
Graduation with honors is conferred upon those students who achieve the following cumulative
grade point average based on work done at the undergraduate level:
Summa Cum Laude 3.90 – 4.00
Magna Cum Laude 3.70 – 3.89
Cum laude 3.50 – 3.69
